Antique Lüer surgery set made in France in the 19th century, in fine condition and almost complete. The case contains all the original tools except the tourniquet for amputations, whose gap remains empty. The rest of the pieces are made of steel and mount black wooden handle with a net engraving to improve the grip. They are all marked with the manufacturers name, LÜER A PARIS, clearly engraved in the metal surface. The tool set is composed of different hooks, scalpels, a saw, a knife, tweezers and pliers. These last utensils are disposed at the cover, with a removable lid which hides them and keeps them in their place. The case is made of solid wood, probably mahogany, with embedded brass handle at the lid. The wood remains in excellent condition. Inside, the case is covered of light-red felt. This fascinating antique Lüer surgery set will surely be a great addition to a good collection of medical antiques. Dimensions: Width: 16.54 in / 42 cm. Depth: 6.3 in / 42 cm.
