Amazing Schröeder microscope made in Germany in the 1920s. This instrument is in perfect working order and comes with its original solid wooden case. It is also accompanied by a series of accessories and products for the preparation of samples, as well as an instruction leaflet. It is a fully original article, in good condition and that can be used like the first day. The microscope, lenses and eyepiece are signed by their respective manufacturers.The instrument bears an inscription with the manufacturers name and location: Dr. A. Schröeder Kassel Mikroskop Institut. It has a three-revolving nosepiece and all the lenses bear the inscription Otto Seibert Wetzlar engraved in the metal. Seibert lenses and microscope are highly renowned, measuring up to other equally prestigious such as the ones made by Ernst Leitz in the same German city (Wetzlar). This particular microscope keeps all its original lenses and also the rest of the components. All of them work fluidly and precisely and make up a highly interesting piece. On the other hand, the eyepiece is also signed by Otto Seibert Wetzlar and under this name we can see an engraved number: 1924, probably the year of manufacture or patent.The microscopes body is made of black enameled iron and the mobile parts are of polished brass. The solid wooden case is made up of various planks, disposed in different directions so they create a nice design. It has slim dovetail joints and keeps the original lock, key and handle; all these metal pieces have survived to our days in excellent condition. Inside there is a wooden box with sliding lid, and two wooden stands designed to store the lenses brass cases and the eyepieces. These cases are also engraved with the market name and year of manufacture. The wooden box contains material for the preparation of samples: thongs, blades, pipettes and glass plates.This microscope is undoubtedly a high-quality item in perfect working order, worthy to belong to a scientific museum.Measurements: Width: 180 mm.
