Fascinating set of microscope samples in their original case and in excellent condition. The set contains 100 samples prepared betweem glass plates and comes from Germany. It is believed to have belonged to a hospital laboratory. The plates are perfectly labeled and hand-numbered. Many of them bear the name or description of the sample to be watched too. The samples are stored in a rigid cardboard case covered outside by a well-preserved black material. The cover bears the inscription MIKROSKOPISCHE PREPARATE, microscope samples in German. Inside the case we can see some wooden pieces with grooves to fit the sample plates and numbers from 1 to 100, designed to keep the plates organized. Inside the cover there is a paper sheet equally numbered so the user can write the sample names, though only the first five units have been written down. This antique set of microscope samples is a very special item, original from the period and with a long story behind. Measurements: Width: 10.6 in / 27 cm. Depth: 7 in / 18 cm.
