This lovely item is a set of three microscope lenses preserved in their original case and quite well preserved. Both the lenses and the case were made in the early 20th century (circa 1900) and have survived to our days in good condition. The case shows a slight flaw at the base but otherwise it is complete. Inside we can see a wooden piece with three circular compartments designed to keep the lenses in their place. The serial number 22773 is engraved in the wood. On the other hand, the lenses are made of golden brass and silvery metal and show different magnification numbers. They are well preserved and can be mounted in the revolving nosepiece of an ancient microscope. The metal surface shows off a delicate patina created by the trace of time that increases the beauty of these pieces. Perfect to accompany an old-time microscope, this lens set is an antique accessory with a singular charm.
