Two Antique Boxes with Microscope Preparations in Very Good Condition from the 40's. The two rectangular wooden boxes are distributed in small departments that hold 140 glass slides with microscope preparations. We can find the most diverse preparations: embryos and chick heads, guinea pig liver... Each glass plate attaches a white sticker on one side with precise indications of each preparation, handwritten in black ink. The crystals are in a very good state of preservation considering the years that have passed and the delicacy of the material. Microscopes were invented around the end of the 16th century, with England as the main manufacturing area, especially from the 17th century onwards. The English manufacturers would enjoy during those first centuries of great renown, reaching great technological advances in their manufacture. From the 19th century onwards, France and Germany came into play, achieving truly competitive devices with respect to the English models. Perfect piece for a nostalgic scientist in very good condition.
