Superb Watson and Sons microscope, made in London circa 1915. This object of scientific research has appealing black, bronze details, which work for a very unique aesthetic. Its condition is excellent and is protected by its original box, made of quality solid wood. Engraved on the body of the microscope it appears the inscription "SERVICE" W. Watson and Sons Ltd. London, and this serial number: 27 715.Inside the box there is a set of microscope lenses with their original bronze cases. The set still keeps the three cases and two of the lenses. Of the three original eyepieces, the set keeps two of them and an accessory. Both the lenses with their sleeves and the eyepieces are held on two wooden supports, located on both sides inside the box. The lenses show the following information: Flatters and Garnett - 4-8 mm - Fluorite - Oil Inmersion - Manchester Flatters and Garnett - 1 1/2 IN - Manchester Flatters and Garnett - 8-5 mm - Manchester The wooden box for storing and transporting the set has fine dovetail joints, and at the top sjows an elegant metal and wood handle with comfortable cylindrical grip. The door retains the original lock and key, adorned with a discreet and elegant keyhole with diamond design, typical of the early twentieth century. Overall, this is a beautiful antique piece that combines the accuracy and aesthetics of the microscope with the traditional charm from its case.
