Stylized microscope made by the prestigious German brand Ernst Leitz Wetzlar in 1917, presented in its original box and whose serial No. is 181350. The microscope comes with three lenses, one of which retains the original brass guard and on whose cover we can read the words "oil-immersion, " which means that they have been subject of the so-called process to increase their resolution. The lenses are placed inside a perforated wooden plate that slides in separate tabs, fixed on the inside of the box to make it safe and comfortable transportation equipment. Several extra eyepieces complete the set; the accessories are engraved with the name of the brand. The microscope, lenses and other metal components show slight signs of wear and small pitted marks, which attests to the antiquity of the device and speaks for the use that was given at a time. Despite these delicate samples of time passing by, the microscope works perfectly. The box is made of solid wood, clearly by artisans, with classic joints dovetail that beautify and ensure the strength of the union. The external surface of the wood is slightly worn by use and transportation, without major damage, making it easy to restore. Inside the case we can also find a small wooden box with sliding lid, which houses a cleaning set and some dissection plates. The kit includes a blue glass plate, several strips of paper, a natural hair brush and gauze. Just one more accessory that adds interest and charm to this beautiful microscope, a beautiful piece worthy of a place in any museum of science. Microscope measurements: 415 mm high x 175 mm base.
