Magnificent microscope made by Ernst Leitz Wetzlar brand, in 1926. It is a beautiful scientific instrument, which comes with a complete set of instruments for selecting and handling specimens. Along with the habitual eyepieces and lenses we can distinguish some thongs, scissors, cleansing brush and chisels. The instruments are in good condition: some utensils are made of brass and some others are made of nickel-plated metal. The whole set is clean, complete and functional, inside the original wooden box that houses the microscope and the accessories. The microscope is beautifully made, lacquered in black and with the turret and some parts made of polished brass and white metal. It is in good working order and keeps all the opticals: lenses, eyepieces and mirrors. In different points, for example the turret, we can see inscriptions engraved in the metal showing the name of the brand and the serial number 246022. Fixed on the arm there is an engraved plate with the logo; the name is also present in the lenses and eyepieces. The wooden box in which the microscope is kept is in good condition. It is made of clear hardwood and has beautiful dovetail joints. It keeps the original key and the carrying handle. Inside the door we can see a plate made of nickel and black metal, in which we can read the name of the laboratory material store where the microscope was purchased: PAUL MARTIN GMBH Mikroskope, Laboratoriums u. Krankenhausbedarf - HAMBURG, Hohe Bleichen 5-7. There is also a paper label with details on the lenses, and the serial number and date (13/X/26) written by hand. These details are part of a really beautiful and interesting set, which will undoubtedly stand out in any personal and exclusive collection. Microscope measurements: 160 mm base x 360 mm high.
