Beautiful and elegant German microscope from the beginning of the 20th Century, in very good condition and with original case and accessories. It was made by Dr. Adolf Schröder from Kassel (Germany); we can see the name of the maker on the label located into the case. The objectives and eyepiece were made by Otto Seibert, a prestigious maker which can be compared in quality to brands such as Ernst Leitz (both makers were stablished in Wetzlar, Germany). The microscope works perfectly and provides a neat and clear view of the samples. The gears and pieces can be fluidly inserted and operated. This microscopes brass and silvery metal parts are in good condition, polished and shiny. The brass objectives, kept in a wooden stand that can be removed from the case, also show their original gloss. A similar stand is provided for the eyepieces. The black lacquer is also well preserved; all this features turn this device into a beautiful, functional and decorative antique. On top of the arm which holds the eyepiece we can see a small metal plate, fixed with screws, with the following engraved inscription: Dr. A. Schröder Kassel Mikroskop. Institut. The objectives also bear the name of the maker, Otto Seibert Wetzlar, as well as the magnification numbers. The instrument comes with its original wooden case, also in good condition. The wooden pieces are assembled by nice and slim dovetail joints, very decorative and strong. On top of the case we can see the original silvery metal handle and also an oval plate with the inscription SAG Resinotechnika 924. The lock and the key are both original. Inside the door we find a label with the inscription inscripción Dr. Adolf Schröder, Kassel Vergrößerungstabelle für die Objektive und Okulare der Firma O. SEIBERT, Wetzlar (Stand for Objectives and Eyepieces by O. SEIBERT Brand, Wetzlar), under which there is a table with information about the different pieces and accessories. Overall, this is a great scientific surveying vintage instrument, whose excellent operation comes together with its aesthetical beauty and will turn the microscope into the star of the best collection.
