Small-sized antique compound microscope made in the early 20th century, probably in Germany or Austria. The microscope is a compact and functional item; it preserves all its original component parts and comes in its wooden storing case. It is quite an antique and attractive device that can still be used to watch samples. This instrument is fully made of brass except for the stage and the double mirror, both made of black-lacquered iron. It also comes with a pair of brass tweezers (used to manipulate the samples) and an antique slide. The whole set can be stored into the mahogany wooden case, original from the period and in striking condition. The wood looks shiny and even, with scarcely any signs of wear and preserving the original satin finish. The case preserves the original metal hinges and shutting hooks too All the lovers of ancient scientific devices will appreciate this antique microscope, small in size but full of undeniable charm.
