Curious and fascinating antique pocket microscope, in good condition and with its original case. This instrument comes from Japan and is dated in the 1950s. It is made of chrome-plated metal and stands out for its intelligent design, simplicity and magnification capacity, up to x70. The lens has some dust particles but otherwise it works fine and enables the user to watch samples and specimens in field work. In order to use the microscope, the legs must be removed from the case and screwed to the microscopes body. The chrome-plated metal the item is made of remains in great condition, and the same can be said about the black leather storing case. The black bakelite eyepiece bears the engraved microscopes magnification capacity (x20 x70), as well as the word JAPAN and a logotype with a capital A framed by a schematic laurel wreath. Rare and quite interesting, this antique Japanese pocket microscope is a singular item that can still be used to observe samples. Measurements: Height: Minimum: 4.33 in / 11 cm.
