Extraordinary Baker binocular microscope, very antique and in flawless condition. This wonderful device is in perfect working order and provides a clear and neat vision of the samples. It comes in its original storing case, a beautiful solid wooden box, and comes with a complete accessory set in superb condition. The microscope mounts a black-enameled cast-iron foot and brass mobile component parts, both finishes being in really amazing condition. The foot is shaped as a tripod and preserves the original shutter and double-sided mirror. On top of the base we can see the two brass turrets that make up the microscopes optical system. The brass component parts preserve the original transparent lacquer that provides the metal with a lovely patina. As well as the parts mounted on the microscope, the magnifying glass and the accessories are also made of brass. At the back of the microscope we can see the manufacturers name and address, C. BAKER 244 HIGH HOLBORN LONDON, in white lettering. Under this inscription we can also find the serial number 6038. The companys name is also engraved in the lenses and their sleeves, and in the live box. The storing case is a solid mahogany wooden box in very good condition, with a sturdy and simple design. It is complete and preserves the original carrying handle. Inside the case is compartmented with wooden pieces in order to store the microscope safely and keep the accessories in order. As well as the magnifier and the live box, the accessory set includes two eyepiece sets and four lenses signed by the maker.
