Antique German Exor microscope in excellent condition, made in Germany circa 1920 and with a complete accessory set. The microscope is a truly remarkable piece for its spectacular look: the different finishes and materials look even and polished, with soft shiny surfaces that seem to have not been affected by the trace of time. It mounts a three-lens revolving nosepiece and comes in its original storing case, also finely preserved. The microscopes mobile component parts are also in full operation, allowing a fluid and soft use and an excellent view of the samples. The microscope shows off a very attractive aesthetic, typical of optical instruments made in the early 20th century. It has black-enameled cast-iron horseshoe foot; the enamel is flawless, polished and even. The rest of the microscopes component parts are made of brass and preserve the original transparent lacquered finish that provides them with a delicate patina and prevents the metal from rusting. The turret bears the hand-engraved brand logo, a capital E inside a circle and a square. The double-sided mirror is original too and remains in good condition, just like the diaphragm and the rest of the mechanisms. Together with the microscope, the case also contains a complete set with 3 objectives and 4 eyepieces numbered 2 through 5. The accessories are specified in the factory sheet except for eyepiece nº 4, which seems to be a spare piece. The set includes an oil immersion objective too. All of them remain in great condition, both aesthetically and functionally. The objectives come in their respective brass sleeves these pieces and the eyepieces are organized in wooden stands. The microscope and the accessories can be stored and carried in the original case, a gorgeous mahogany wooden case which has been carefully restored. It preserves the original lock and key in working order. This antique German Exor microscope is a remarkable item that stands out for its quality, good condition and fine design.
