Outstanding vintage reproduction of a Culpeper microscope by Burke & Jones, made in Bristol in the 1970s. It is the Nº 81 piece from a limited edition of 600 microscopes. It is complete and comes in its original mahogany wooden case, with lock but no key. The microscope comes with two lenses, an eyepiece, tweezers to manipulate insects and plants, a bulls eye light magnifier and a tool to watch the blood circulation in live fish tails. It stands on a fine mahogany-wooden base with a small drawer to store the accessory set. The microscope is entirely made of brass and shows off the great design created by E. Culpeper in theb18th century. At the turret we can see the engraved manufacturers name, Burke & Jones, and the number of the piece. Beautiful and fascinating, this oustanding vintage reproduction of a Culpeper microscope by Burke & Jones Nº 81 is perfect to decorate a study or to shine in a collectors showcase.
