Fascinating Antique Music Box Completely Restored. Switzerland, 19th Century

Wonderful music box made in the 19th century, in amazing condition and fully restored and fine-tuned. The box was manufactured in Switzerland and its mechanism has been cleaned in order to guarantee a perfect operation. There is one tooth missing in the comb, but this detail does not prevent the box from playing complete and lovely tunes. Both the outer and the inside finishes have been restored and nowadays they boasts a shiny look with noble and deep colors. This music box is a very special item with an undeniably and charming beauty. Outside the music box shows a curious and original finish that imitates certain wood with dark veneer and light-colored background. The lid is decorated with a sober rectangle made up of two golden painted lines. The restoration is quite respectful with the original finish and has preserved it, regaining the beauty of the music box. Inside, the wood is covered by a sober shiny ebony-like black finish. The mechanism that plays the music is covered by a glass lid with a wooden frame that lets us see the mechanism moving as it plays the tunes. It preserves all its original component parts and pieces, from the reel with hundred of tiny spikes to the comb, the gears and the springs.
