Amazing Faventia roller organ or organette made in Spain in the 1950s. It was made in Barcelona (Spain), for the French market. The organ is fully origina, is well preserved and still sound really fine. It can play six tunes and includes a triangle and a wooden box for the percussion. The box is fully made of black-lacquered wood, with iron and metal pieces and parts such as the crank. All the component parts are original from the period and their excellent working order makes it possible to play the tunes with an exceptional sound. Attached to one of the organs sides we can see a transparent plastic piece containing a paper label with printed and typed inscriptions. The label shows the manufacturers name, VICENTE LLINARES JUGUETES MUSICALES FAVENTIA BARCELONA (Juguetes Musicales means musical toys in Spanish). The tunes or BAILABLES (danceable tunes) are listed below the inscription: 1. Así es París (just so is Paris) 2. Douce France 3. Mon Homme 4. Brazil 5. Mlle de Paris 6. Amour mon Amour The French titles and themes suggest that this organ was made to be exported to this country. At the end of the list we find the word FAVENTIA again, the name of the model. The roller organs wooden box is painted in a matt black color, quite stylish. The edges, corners and decorative moldings are decorated with a shiny golden paint. The lacquered surfaces look great and so does the inner mechanism that we find when we lift the cover. Inside the box there is a small wooden piece with the number 10544 printed on its surface. Its imposing presence and good condition turn this evocative roller organ into a charming and beautiful piece, so decorative and nostalgic. Measurements: Width: 22 in / 56 cm. Height: 23.2 in / 59 cm.
