Antique Rolmonica with 5 Music Rollers. USA, 1928

Fine antique Rolmonica, made in the USA in 1928. This is a charming musical instrument original from the time, with bakelite casing and all its original component parts and pieces. The rolmonica comes with five paper rolls, essential to make it work. It is a combination of harmonica and barrel-organ; in order to play it, the user must put one roll inside the casing and blow through the mouthpiece while he or she turns the crank. The rolmonica that we can see in the photographs has a crack at its left side, but it does not interfere at all with its excellent operation. The rubber gasket and the rest of the component parts are well preserved and make it possible to play the rolmonica. The black and orange casing and the paper rolls bear the embossed and printed name ROLMONICA and the inscription MADE IN U.S.A.
