Original and ancient Chautauqua barrel organ made of oak wood in USA in 1890. This curious musical antique is in very good condition and perfect working order. Its sound is excellent, clear and loud, and comes with four spiky wooden rollers which can play four different tunes. The rollers must be inserted into the device by opening the glass and wooden door at the top. Through the glass we can see a nice flowery decoration. The crank with a lacquered wooden handle is used for operating the instrument and playing the tunes. The article is made of solid oak wood, which boasts its typical golden brown tone and the deep veneer of this type of wood. The organ has a warm and shiny finish which enhances the oak woods color and veneer. One of the most remarkable features of this piece is that the glass at the top lets the user watch the roller spinning, while he or she operates the crank and the mechanism stars moving. On the cover we can read the following words, printed in big gothic letters: Chautauqua Barrel Organ. This antique barrel organ can be considered an exceptional witness of this part of American history, being also a beautiful instrument that still can delight any lover of musical antiques with its magical sound. Measurements: 430 mm width x 300 mm height.
