Great pocket spyglass telescope made in the first third of the 20th century. This nice instrument is made of polished brass and real leather and comes in its original case. The telescope has four pipes and is in great condition: the lenses are perfectly preserved so the instrument can be used like the first day to watch faraway objects. The main pipe is covered of dark brown leather and is well preserved. The polished brass also boasts a nice shiny look. The telescope keeps the original polished brass lid designed to protect the lens. The three foldable pipes that are stored into the main one are made of matt brass in good condition. The telescope can be perfectly folded and unfolded; as well as being a highly decorative article, it is also a fully functional instrument that will delight any lover of authentic pieces. As stated before the telescope comes in its original case, also made of leather and quite well preserved. The case is decorated with an embossed decoration depicting an equestrian scene. The image shows a country house with a fenced land; in this land we can see a rider sat upon a horse surrounded by dogs. It is a charming scene, clear and beautiful. The leather is dark red and keeps its nice finish, somewhat enhanced by the trace of time. The case keeps the original belt that connects the two parts that protect the telescope. This spyglass telescope is a beautiful piece, original and functional, perfect for anybody who can appreciate quality antiques. Measurements: Telescope: 18.5 cm/7.2 in (length unfolded).
