This stunning spyglass is an authentic piece from the early 20th century, made of golden brass and in very good condition. The article dates from the first quarter of the 20th century and is a very singular piece that preserves all its original lenses and component parts. The spyglass can be used to view faraway objects and comes with its protecting case. Its ancient age (it is nearly one hundred years old) provides it with charm and class, being a piece worthy of the best collection of antique devices. The spyglass is composed of five cylindrical stages made of golden brass; the main stage is covered of black leather. Both the metal and the leather are well preserved and boast a nice patina generated by the years of use. The brass keeps the original transparent lacquer that protects the metal and the leather shows no torn or worn parts. The four telescopic stages can be neatly folded into the main cylinder. The instrument comes with a sunshade, a very practical accessory that can be attached to the front end of the main stage. This piece helps the user to avoid the reflection of the sun when looking at faraway objects. As stated before, the spyglass comes in its original protecting case, cylindrical in shape and made of fabric-covered cardboard. The case is well preserved and is still the ideal complement to keep this striking antique spyglass in good condition and working order. This attractive spyglass will very probably have a fascinating history behind, on the other hand being an undeniably charming piece. Measurements: Folded: Width: 1.5 in/4 cm. Length: 6.6 in/17 cm. Unfolded: Length: 22 in/56 cm.
