This piece was manufactured by the prestigious brand T. Harris & Son; it works fine and preserves all its original charm and beauty. The telescope preserves all its original component parts and can be use to watch faraway objects thanks to its excellent optical system. It comes in its original cardboard case covered by black faux leather. The eyepiece bears an engraved inscription: T. HARRIS & SON LONDON. It refers to an English company founded by Thomas Harris together with his son. From 1806 to 1846, their factory made and commercialized magnificent telescopes, microscopes, miniature globes and mathematical instruments. Many of these pieces are preserved in history museums. This telescope is a good example of the good quality that boasted the instruments made by this brand. The telescopes draws are in good condition and can be easily folded and unfolded.
