This article is made of golden brass and preserves all its original component parts including the mirrors, the filters and the telescope. It works perfectly and comes in its original oak wooden case, a lovely piece in great condition. The brass this article is made is in very good conditions. The mirrors (index mirror and horizon mirror) and the solar filters are also well preserved and make up an attractive set. The hinges move fluidly and the filters can be moved with no problem at all. The graduated arc bears the engraved manufacturers name and the sextants serial number: 94330 SESTRAL - LONDON. The sextants case is a gorgeous solid wooden box made up by oak wooden planks of a lovely golden brown color. The sides are assembled by solid handmade dovetail joints. The lid, rustic in style, is composed of different planks nailed to the box. The case preserves the original handle, a lovely classic brass model, and also the lock, the key and the shutting hooks.
