This fine telescope from the 1920s comes with a complete five-legged tripod, made of wood with brass articulations and details. The tripod is the perfect accessory for the telescope to exhibit all its beauty. The instrument works perfectly, like new, and it provides a neat and clear view of far away objects and landscapes. The lenses are clean, with no sign of coating, and the barrels slide easily and are in perfect working order. The brass shows a nice soft shine, due to the use and the trace of time, that increases the good looks and the authenticity of the instrument. Otherwise, it is in very good condition. The five-legged tripod is also very good looking; the legs are made of wood and are slightly combed because of its old age, but they hold the telescope properly. The nice joint of the two parts of each leg is very remarkable, with brass fittings and screws that let the user adjust the height. In order to avoid the full opening of the legs, the fittings are joined by a golden chain. The end of the legs are also covered with brass fitting screwed to the wood, while at the top we can see a beautiful and shiny device designed to connect the telescope to the tripod. The original varnish which covers the wood is slightly worn, but it is easy to recover by means of a simple restoration work. The wood is in very good condition, with no signs of woodworm or serious damage. Both the tripod and the telescope show the charm typical of antique optical instruments, which have preserved their beauty and functionality up to our days. This telescope will look great in an elegant living room, in front of a big window through which the user will be able to view distant places. Measurements: 1700 mm height (with tripod) x 1000 mm length (fully open).
