Surprising collection of nine glass test tubes containing formalin-preserved natural specimens. The tubes contain different insects, arthropods and larvae, as shocking as authentic. Among them we can see several scorpions, beetles and other animals, perfectly preserved and with all their parts. The collection was compiled and prepared in the 1970s-80s and preserves all its original charm, being still a valuable piece for any lover of nature and science. The test tubes are made of glass and bear red-plastic lids. They all bear handwritten paper stickers with the name of the formalin-preserved animals. The inscriptions are in French, written in blue ink and showing different data about the content. They bear the scientific Latin name of each specimen, the family it belongs to in capital letters, the year of preparation and some appreciations such as the word DANGEREUX (dangerous in English) applied to the scorpions. The specimens are quite remarkable for their size, amazing condition and disturbing look. Among them we can single out the five scorpions, as well preserved as threatening-looking. The tubes are disposed in a silvery-metal stand made of metal rods, wire and grids which makes it possible to keep them straight and expose them comfortably. The stand is a handmade piece that shows off a very special charm, being also in excellent condition. Every lover of science- and nature-related collectors pieces will appreciate this collection of test tubes with authentic specimens. Stands Measurements: Width: 11 cm. Height: 15.5 cm.
