Fascinating antique barometer-thermometer set in fine condition, dated between the 19th and 20th centuries (circa 1900). Both instruments are in working order though we cannot guarantee their efficiency. They are quite well preserved too and come in their original storing case, covered in black leather outside and also in fine condition. Inside the case is covered in dark-red silk and velvet. The barometer shows off a fine design, similar to that of pocket watches; it is made of silvery metal with top ring and glass front. Under the glass we can see the metal dial, with a straight hand that points to the different pressure levels and types of weather in French: warm, rainy, variable, etc. In the center of the dial there is a die-cut gap which lets us see part of the delicate inner movement. On the other hand, the thermometer is made of metal and glass and bears the hand-engraved word Fahrenheit, indicating the type of degree scale. Measurements: Barometer: 37 mm Diameter. Thermometer: 63 mm Length.
