Antique four-drum telescope - spyglass in very good condition. This telescope is a big-sized item and was probably made in England. It is dated in the 19th century, so it is more than one hundred years old. Though the spyglass remains in quite good condition it does not work properly fine, so it is sold just as a decorative item (it doesn't focus). This is a greatly remarkable piece for its powerful aesthetic, its big size and the amazing condition the brass is in. The main body or drum (the one that mounts the objective) is protected by the original dark-brown leather cover. The leather piece is in really good condition, showing no torn or worn parts and with wonderfully-preserved original seams. The spyglass can be easily folded and unfolded, and it is still a gorgeous item with an imposing decorative power. Every lover of ship and marine antiques will appreciate the fine look and the authenticity of this striking antique brass spyglass, perfect to decorate the most stately living room or study. Measurements: Folded: 10.24 in / 26 cm. Unfolded: 29.53 in / 75 cm.
