Imposing antique brass telescope, probably made in England and dated in the 19th century. Though being more than one century old, this telescope has survived to our days in really good condition. It preserves all its original component parts, including the lenses; they are wonderfully preserved so the telescope works fine and makes it possible to watch faraway objects and landscapes. This feature provides the item with a very interesting quality as it is not only a very decorative piece, but also a fully functional one. The brass the four bodies are made of is in good condition, showing only the logical signs of wear produced by the trace of time and the use. These signs provide the telescope with a fine antique patina. The main body, the one that mounts the objective and stores the rest of the bodies when folded, preserves the original black leather lining. The leather is very well preserved and looks shiny and even, being the icing on the cake of this amazing antique telescope. Bound to shine in the most special home, this antique four-bodied brass telescope is a piece worthy of the best collection. Medidas: Recogido: 26 cm. Desplegado: 81 cm.
