Antique Four Bodied Glasses. Working. XIX Century

Fine antique brass telescope with old-time leather covering, original from the 19th century and in very good condition. This lovely telescope was probably made in England and is an exclusive piece, perfect to decorate a room or corner with a very special touch. The telescope is a medium-size piece (59.5 cm long) and is finely preserved. The brass looks shiny and even, with the great patina that the trace of time and the use have deposited on the original transparent lacquered finish that protects the metal surface. In addition to that, the telescope works perfectly the lenses and the eyepiece are in great condition and make it possible to watch faraway objects and places. The brass bodies are easily folded and unfolded, and can be stored inside the main body protected by the leather covering. This lining is a functional and decorative detail that makes more comfortable the manipulation of the device and provides it with a very interesting aesthetic touch.Bound to shine on a tripod or a noble-wooden shelf, this striking antique telescope probably hides a fascinating past full of maritime voyages.
