Wonderful and very antique marine spyglass in amazing condition and boasting a really handsome look. The spyglass is quite big and is dated circa 1800 (between the late 18th and the early 19th centuries). In spite of the hundreds of years that have passed since it was originally made, it remains in great condition and working order. It is composed of two brass bodies, the main one covered by the original black leather. It mounts a well-preserved magnifying glass that makes it possible to watch faraway objects and landscapes. The brass keeps the original protecting finish that provides it with a lovely antique patina. The leather covering is in good condition too and shows no relevant signs of wear, or torn or faded parts. This gorgeous antique marine spyglass talks us about fascinating voyages and historic adventures. It is an exceptional piece, perfect to decorate a room or a study dedicated to marine antiques.
