Fine antique German binoculars in great condition and good working order. This is probably an item for military use, dated circa 1914 this means that it was very probably used during World War I. The metal casing with leather-covered front is very well preserved: the brass keeps the original black-lacquered finish in good condition, with only slight signs of wear at the eyepieces. The leather covering is greatly preserved too. In the middle of the binoculars we can see an inscription printed in white capital letters: DEUTSCHER OPTICS VERBAND E.V. (the name of the German manufacturer). The lenses are in good condition, showing only some dust particles that do not cloud the vision. They preserve the original sunshades. Its fine condition, lovely design and interesting past are reason enough to include these antique German binoculars in the best collection of war antiques. Measurements: Width: 4.44 in / 11.3 cm.
