Fascinating antique binoculars with compass, dated circa 1914 and in really good condition. This article was probably designed for military used, which means that it was possibly used during World War I. The binoculars are in very good working order; the lenses show some dust particles but even so they provide a very clear vision. At the front side, between the two lenses we can see a small embedded compass in working order; this detail turns the binoculars in an original and quite attractive item. Between the eyepieces we can see the word GLASËR printed in white lettering on the black enamel. The enameled metal and the leather that covers the central part (for the hands) are wonderfully preserved, showing only some slight signs of use that provide the item with a fine old-time patina. Complete, singular and decorative, these antique German binoculars with compass are a very special piece which deserves to be exhibited in a showcase with the best military and historic antiques.
