Antique Mantel Telescope. With Case. Late XIX Century

Antique mantel spyglass or telescope made in the late 19th century and in very good working order. This gorgeous instrument is more than one hundred years old and has survived to our days in fine condition. It can be dismantled and stored in the original mahogany wooden case, also greatly preserved. The spyglass is entirely made of brass and comes with a stable and reliable tripod. The great working order showed by this item enables a net vision with high magnification; it can be easily used to watch faraway landscapes and objects. So it is a very decorative piece, functional and truly original from the time. The storing case preserves the original brass shutting hooks; the wood shows some signs of the trace of time and the use that provide it with a charming ancient patina.
