Gorgeous Antique John Wrench magic lantern made in England circa 1880, very decorative and in good condition. This piece was made in the late 19th century and is a fine antique, perfect to embellish a study or dining room. The lantern does not include a burner or lamp holder, but it does preserve the lenses in good condition. The mobile lid that protects the front lens bears the engraved manufacturers logo, John Wrench; this company was a powerful producer of slides, but they also made magic lantern and cinematographic components. The lantern that we can see in the images is composed of a rear black metal-sheet case; this case is designed to hide the burner or the lamp holder that provide the necessary light to project the images through a foldable brass projector, composed of several drums and with a front lens. This outstanding antique John Wrench magic lantern, original from the time and in good condition, will stand out in any collection or shelf. Measurements (Folded): Total Length: 16.4 in / 41 cm.
