This church candelabra set is a beautiful antique that comes from France and stands out because of its fine making and big size. Made in the 19th century, both pieces are more than one hundred years old and have survived to our days in excellent condition. They are identical and have five lights each, surrounded by a wonderful group of charming and lovely flowers. The metal keeps the original shiny golden finish in very good condition, turning these two candelabra into very decorative pieces for any stylish room. The candelabra are manufactured like a couple of vases with flowers inside. Each vase stands on a hexagonal base with four airy and fine leaf-shaped legs trimmed with volutes. On each base we can see a turned cone that serves as a pedestal for the vase. The vases are spherical and bear an engraving depicting two delicate putti heads (angel kids) at the front. On both sides of each vase, the handles curve creating graceful symmetrical volutes. The neck of each vase narrows to hold the top part of the candelabra, the most spectacular and remakable one. As stated before, this part is composed of a central vertical rod that has a candle holder at its top end. From this rod, the rest of the five candelabras arms emerge holding a light each. Adorning and hiding this structure there is a mass of flowery branches that frames and surrounds the candle holders: the open flowers are scattered all over the candelabra, accompanied by flexible long leaves. The flowers are beautiful: they have six petals each and the stamens and pistils are greatly performed. This candelabra sets lovely design is one of its best features, together with their ancient age and good condition. We are looking at a very special article with a high decorative potential.Measurements: 11.4 in/29 cm. 28.3 in/72 cm.
