Antique oil lamp for railway station signals. 1900.

Precious lamp to make signals to the trains. This type of lamps were used by the stationmaster to warn the engineer that the platform was clear of passengers. It is a marvel. It has a height of 40 cms without counting the upper handle. It has been electrified later to use it as a decorative lamp, but it has been done in a very repetuously way, since the cable has been introduced through a hole in the lamp itself and the original oil lamp has been preserved intact, so if desired, it can be de-electrified very easily. The bulb is melted. The bulb is cast - beautiful indeed!
