Complete Set of Golden Brass Weights with Wooden Base. Spain, 1930's

This beautiful weigh set is around eighty years old and was made in Spain in the 1930s. It is in very good condition and keeps all the original pieces, made of golden brass and with their respective weights clearly engraved in the metal. The weighs are well organized in a solid wooden stand with small compartment that stores a set of micro-weighs. The weigh set is composed of eleven pieces and eight micro-weights. The heaviest one weighs 200gr, and the lightest one, 1gr. The micro-weighs are made of thin silvery metal sheet and are shaped in different ways: we can see square, hexagonal and triangular pieces. They all have a small folded tab so the user can easily grasp it with tweezers. Last but not least, the wood stand is made of is solid mahogany, a beautiful wood characterized by its lovely deep reddish color, its hardness and its great quality. This amazing antique weigh set is an article full of charm and history: a very decorative and fully functional piece. Measurements: Width: 5.5 in/14 cm. Height: 1.5 in/4 cm.
