This awesome solid wooden box, completely decorated with marquetry-work details of different kinds of wood, is an antique piece made in the 1930s. The box, quite big in size, has been carefully restored and boasts a great beauty the wood pieces and inlaid details are in excellent condition. The box is covered with walnut and light golden wood veneers that create a stylish patter composed of rectangular and square shapes. The inlaid decoration is framed by solid mahogany moldings and beams: the contrast between the brown, golden and red colors of the different woods create a wonderful effect. The box stands on four solid walnut legs and its corners are reinforced and embellished by silvery metal Art Deco details. The French polish that protects the surface has also been restored and its warn glow enhances the different wood colors. The lock is the original one, in working order the key has been reproduced in order to safely close the box.
