This awesome antique piece of furniture is a veneered-wooden liquor cabinet made in France in the early 20th century (circa 1900) and in impressive condition. The small cabinet is greatly preserved and shows a beautiful surface covered of lightwood veneer. The lines are disposed in different directions to create attractive frisage-style motives. The veneer is complete and in great condition. Inside and outside, the wood shows off a beautiful French-polish finish that protects its surface and provides it with an amazing glow. It we open the lock we will be able to lift the cabinets cover to reveal the inside. The front panel is connected to the cover by a hinge so when this is lifted, the panel folds inside. The cabinet contains a tray with an impressive Baccarat crystal set composed of four bottles and sixteen cups made of the finest cut crystal. These pieces are original from the time and remain in excellent condition: moreover, there is no one piece missing. The tray can be removed from the cabinet: in order to do so, we only have to grab the brass ring connected to a stem located in the center of the piece. The covers and bases edges are reinforced by golden brass strips. The metal is wonderfully preserved and looks shiny and polished, creating a great contrast with the warm wooden veneer. The cover and the front panel boast an attractive decoration composed of small marquetry squares, delicately combined so they form a striking diamond motive. Because of its elegance, purity of lines and the noble materials they are made of, this liquor cabinet and the crystal set it contains deserve a honor place in an aristocratic dining room.
