Curious advertising bust made of polychrome plaster, coming from France and dated in the 1930s. This is a really attractive piece with a fine kitsch touch, so trendy in nowadays decoration. The bust is original from the era and is almost eighty years old; it has survived to our days in quite good condition in spite of being so fragile. The figure depicts a bare-breasted womans torso and a black cloth covering her waist and hips. It is molded and painted in a very realistic way and shows a look that was quite fashionable in those days. In the neckline, the bust has a red embossed inscription with the word Ravi, probably the advertised products market name. The black cloth also bears the embossed initials D. W., painted in a dark red tone. At the back of the bust we can see the word NOVITA stamped on the plaster. Decorative and original, this bust from the 1930s will draw anyones attention in the most contemporary home. Measurements: Width: 12.5 in / 32 cm. Height: 24.8 in / 63 cm.
