This gorgeous antique accordion is a unique piece, very antique and well preserved that has survived to our days in working order. The accordion dates from 1830 and comes in its original solid wooden case, also in good condition. This lovely instrument still works and can be used to play tunes; nevertheless, its ancient age is the reason why some pieces do not fit perfectly, so the sound is not the best. Even so, the accordion preserves all its original charm, and beauty and is a collectors piece with an undeniable attractive. The instrument is composed of a solid wooden body, connected to another wooden piece by a lovely hand-decorated bellows. The instruments body has mother-of-pearl keys and valves, all of them original and in very good condition. The metal pieces are made of golden brass and are fully preserved. The wooden body is decorated with inlaid decorative motives in delicate ochre, orange and green colors.The piece connected to the other end of the bellows is painted black and preserves the original handle. Between them we can see the bellows, made of white fabric and profusely decorated with colorful motives. These motives were painted by hand following the stencil technique it consists on painting shapes with stencils and color inks. The bellows is in magnificent condition, with no torn or stained parts. The accordion, as stated before, comes in a solid wooden case with original golden-brass hinges and handle. Charming and in very good condition, this great accordion is a very special piece that cannot be missing in a complete collection of antique musical instruments. Measurements: Width: 11.8 in / 30 cm.
