1932 Doignon Ship's Compass in Original Box.

Doignon Boat Compass model 1932 in its original box. It consists of a quadrangular wooden box that opens thanks to two front metal hooks. It also attaches a central handle to carry the device in a comfortable and easy way. Above the handle there is a small black plate with the indication of the model: BOUSSOLE D'INCLINAISON. MODÉLE 1932. Inside the box, perfectly protected by a rubber and wood structure, is the compass. The copper compass has black numbering on a white background. It indicates the cardinal points and degrees for a perfect location of the position. By means of tilting and movement thanks to the suspension rings, the compass moves to indicate the exact location of our position in a constantly moving environment such as a ship. Thanks to the suspension rings, the compass tilts so that it remains horizontal and marks the position accurately.
