Elegant Pair of French Candlesticks, 1880. Well Preserved. Antique and Decorative.

Beautiful pair of French candlesticks in great condition. They are very antique, dating from 1880. Their sober design and the quality materials they are made of turn them into exceptional pieces, perfect to decorate a mantelpiece, a shelf or a wonderful dining-room table. These candlesticks are also very antique and their good condition is especially remarkable. All their parts are original, except for two screws at the base of one of them, which have been used to strengthen the joint between the base and the stem. Nevertheless, this is an imperceptible detail which in no way affects these antique pieces elegance and beauty. The candlesticks are made of bronze, combined with a white rectangular piece which serves as a base for the candle holders. The contrast between the ivory-white color of these pieces and the metals warm and golden shine is surely one of the candlesticks finest features. The bronze is hand-worked, smartly carved in the shape of Baroque volutes and waves that cover the whole surface. These forms combine with stylized vegetal and shell-shaped motives. It a very subtle and elegant decoration which turn these candlesticks in highly attractive pieces. The bronze is in very good condition, as shiny as polished as new. The white parts are also faultless, with no traces of stains or cracks. The candlesticks are very stylized and their height turns them into great decorative pieces, which will stand out in any corner. They are undoubtedly intended to belong to a real lover of beauty, antiques and the most elegant and exclusive pieces. Measurements: 125 mm width x 275 mm height.
