Antique Birdhouse or Birdcage. Spain, Circa 1940

Great antique birdhouse or birdcage made in Spain circa 1940, in really fine condition and in state of use. The cage is amazingly preserved: the wooden pieces and the metal rods and springs look great and move fluidly. At the top of the cage we can see a small flaw that has already been repaired, so today it does not affect the structure, the look or the resistance of the birdhouse. The structure, though, is quite firm and makes it possible, if desired, to grow and maintain birds or as a decorative use. The cage includes two entrance/exit doors and two sash doors for the bird feeders. This birdhouse is shaped like a house and shows off a charming Alpine-like style, being a greatly decorative piece which will stand out in a luminous room or in a Colonial-style patio.
