Antique and rare diamond cutting or sharpener tool made circa 1900 or earlier, complete and in excellent condition. This curious works just like hand-operated wood lathes. The diamond to be sharpened was placed on the tip; the cutter then used the tool to hold the diamond on a horizontal sharpening wheel to shape it. The collection of pieces is composed of a metal stand with two brackets, a stylized and elegant wooden and brass tool and a series of interchangeable brass bits which are mounted in the mentioned tool.
