Antique Gold Sewing Kit by Auguste Belleau. Complete. France, 1880

Delicate gold sewing kit by Auguste Belleau, made in France in 1880 and with a complete tool set. The storing case is carved and is oval in shape; in the lid we can see the black initials EF, intertwined in a beautiful monogram. Inside we find the tool kits: every piece has a hallmark depicting an eagle’s head, which identifies 18K-gold French pieces. We can also see the goldsmith’s mark, with the initials AB. The kit is composed of a pair of scissors, a thimble, a sewing punch, a needle (usually missing in these antique kits) and a cylindrical case, probably for pins. All the pieces are in excellent condition and stand out for its delicate quality and great embossed work.

This gold and bone sewing kit by Auguste Belleau is a real collector’s piece, as beautiful as special.
