Antique 18K Solid Gold Sewing Bag, France, 1820's

Fantastic old 18K solid gold workbox made in France at the time of Restaración (of monarchy), around 1820. The pieces are contrasted with a ram's head, indicating that this is a piece of 18K gold, made in Paris between 1819 and 1838. The thimble, however, presents a contrast of an eagle's head, indicating that this is a solid gold piece made in Paris between 1838 and 1846. It is therefore an old thimble but made a few years later. Possibly the original was lost thimble and this replaced it.The set includes: an 18K solid gold thimble, a pair of 18K solid gold scissors, an 18K solid gold needle holde , a solid 18K gold hole punch and a wooden case. The dimensions of need are: Length 11.5 cm, width 5.5 cm and 2 cm thick. The entire set has a beautiful floral decoration. Tha case has a small damage at one side. A fantastic display piece.
