Striking violin from the 19th century that comes in its original case, with spare pieces and accessories. This is an original valuable piece, in good condition and beautifully made. The violin is made of wood and keeps all its original components. It is protected by its original case that has also come to us in good condition. The violin also keeps a series of spare pieces and accessories designed to tune the instrument. The instrument is made of a nice light golden wood with elegant color gradations; some of its components are made of black-lacquered wood and some others are metal. This violin does not keep the original inside label that is usually visible through the f-holes. Nevertheless its lovely making and the beauty of the wood it is made of testify for its ancient age and quality. Though it is well preserved, with the trace of time the planks that are part of the violins belly have detached slightly and there is a slim groove between them. This can be perfectly restored by a good luthier that will also hone the instrument so it can be played just like the first day of use. This is worth doing as this is a very antique and noble instrument that surely deserves it.The case where the violin is stored is black outside and is covered by a nice paper inside. The paper is light yellow with a pattern of tiny blue stars and dots. It is good condition and nowadays this case is still the best place to keep the violin and carry it. Inside there are some spare strings, a cylindrical black box with the word Ideal printed in golden letters and a spare tuning peg. These accessories are kept into a cardboard paper-lined box which is located just on top of the fingerboard. All this features tell us that this violin is a charming piece, full of history and that will surely be highly appreciated by any musician or music lover who can distinguish good antiques.
