Antique Kitchen Scale with Weights. Germany, 1950s-60s

Antique kitchen scale made in Germany in the 1950s-60s, in very good condition and with a weigh set between 5 and 50 g. The scale works really well and is quite accurate, even a 1-gram weigh can unbalance it. It is made of black-lacquered molded metal sheet, with brass pans and marker arch. The lacquered finish is quite well preserved and shows a nice satin glow. The pans have different shapes: one is flat and round, designed to put the weighs on, while the other is quite deep and has a slightly triangular shape which helps to pour its content properly. At the front side of the scale we can see the brand name SALTER and the model, Nº 56. The decal also says that the maximum weigh accepted is 2 kg. The weigh set is composed of 5 pieces and makes it possible to get accurate results with small quantities.
