Lovely antique shop scale in very good condition and perfect working order. The scale comes from France and was made in the early 20th century. Though being such an ancient piece, it remains in quite good condition: the mahogany wooden base has been carefully restored in order to recover the wonderful shiny French-polish finish. The bases front side has a central glass opening with brass frame that lets us see two mobile pieces designed to balance the pans with the highest accuracy. The wood is decorated with a rectangular carved groove that provides the piece with an elegant touch. The brass pans are original and remain in good condition; they bear an engraved mark containing the inscription D. Rousset a St. Chamond. The scale comes with a complete set of brass weighs in grams and in good condition.
