Antique British telephone bell made in England in the early 20th century (circa 1900) and in very good condition. The bell system is complete and though it has not been tested, it is probably in fine working order. The mechanisms base and box are made of solid-mahogany wood, in great condition and with a gorgeous satin finish. The box has delicate handmade dovetail joints, sturdy and beautiful. At the back of the bell we ca see a mark engraved on the wooden surface with the inscription ANGEN BRITISH MADE. If we remove the box, inside we will find the mechanism composed of two coils and a lever. When rung, the levers end goes up and hits the bell. This superb antique telephone bell will stand out as a decorative item in a collection of mechanical antiques or on a special wall. Measurements: Width: 4.4 in / 11 cm. Height: 8.4 in / 21 cm.
